Founders, John Hearn and Ryan Rhodes, met one evening at BJ’s Brewhouse and started a simple conversation about craft beer. The conversation was the seed that started their journey into the craft beer industry and the beginning of Texas Beer Refinery.
John and Ryan filed Texas Beer Refinery as a corporation in August of 2013. And soon after, opened the doors to their first brewery in a tiny warehouse in Dickinson, TX. TBR was only the 9th craft brewery to open in the state of Texas at the time. And TBR was the first brewery in Texas to offer 64-oz growlers to their customers. With TBR’s success, they were able to expand and add a tap room down the street from the brewery. The tap room offers, flights, pints, crowlers, and growlers of TBR staples and specialty brews. TBR is known for its high end craft beer and a wide-array of specialty brews.
Beyond the brewery and tap room, TBR distributes in 75+ locations in Houston and surrounding areas. TBR is known for its high end craft beer and a wide-array of specialty brews.
